Entry to Event

In order to gain entry to the event you may be asked to provide id to prove you are of age in accordance with your valid ticket.

Entry for minors

Persons under the age of 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult 21+ at all times.
Persons under the age of 14yrs must be accompanied by and adult 21+ at all times. 1 child per guardian. 

Getting Served at Bars

To get served at any of our bars we practice the Challenge 25 policy where if you are lucky enough to look under 25 years old then you will be asked for id to prove you are over 18yrs of age.

Are event tickets transferable/refundable?

Tickets are strictly non transferable and non-refundable.
You may be asked for proof of identity at entry.
If this cannot be supplied then entry may be refused with no refund given.

Bags and Searches

All event attendees will be subject to a search before entry is permitted to the event.
Please don’t bring a bag unless it is absolutely essential.
Bags larger than 30cm x 42cm (the size of a sheet of A3 paper) will NOT be permitted.
Those who need to bring bags will be separated into bag search lanes, and may be delayed as a result of these searches.
Please note that there are no storage lockers available at the event.

Can I bring my own Alcohol?

No. Bringing your own alcohol is prohibited.
Various alcoholic beverages including draught beer, packaged beer, ciders, wine, spirits & mix, juices,
and water can be bought at the Playground Festival across various bars.
The Challenge 25 process will be in operation across all bars within the festival site and will be rigorously enforced.

Can I bring my own food?

No. Food can be purchased from a variety of street food vendors on site.

Zero Glass

Glass bottles and containers are not permitted in the event.
All glass will be confiscated and not returned.

Will there be cash machines on site?

There are a number of cash machines near all the public transport hubs on the way to the Playground Festival.

Can I pay by card?

Yes - all our bars accept card payments.

Travel - Transport links

If you are travelling into Glasgow then Glasgow Central has connecting trains to these stations - or you will find a Taxi Rank outside both stations.
We are a 2 min walk from Whitecraigs Train station.
10 min walk from Patterton Train Station and 20 min walk from Thornliebank train station.

Happy Bus will be running shuttle buses from various towns to the festival.

Drugs, weapons and legal highs.

The organisers of Playground Festival are working closely with the Police and local authorities to make this a safe, crime-free event on your doorstep.
Please do not bring drugs or weapons to the festival. This includes 'Legal Highs'.
You will to be searched at the entrance to the event and anyone found with illegal substances will be passed directly to the police on site.

Playground Festival operates a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy on these substances/materials.
Anyone found in possession of drugs, 'Legal Highs' or weapons at the event will be passed to Police without refund.

Other Prohibited Items

Drones, portable laser equipment, laser pens, air horns, megaphones, vuvuzelas, kites, spray paint cans, aerosols over 250ml, sound systems, gazebos, unofficial tabards and reflective jackets, or any item that could be considered a weapon, including multi-tools, are not permitted.
Flares, gas or smoke devices, fireworks, sparklers, Chinese / sky lanterns, firewood, candles or any flames are also not permitted.
Items will be confiscated and not returned.

Will there be a first aid/welfare tent?

First aiders and welfare services are available at the event on both days.
These will be clearly marked in Sitemaps.

Exit and Re-Entry

We don’t allow exit and re-entry to our event in line with our licensing restrictions.
Please make sure you bring anything you need with you onsite.

Am I allowed to bring my camera along?

You may bring a non-professional camera into the event.
If you wish to bring a professional camera you must contact us first and seek permission.

Is there a dress code?

This is an outdoor music event in Scotland - please dress appropriately for all weather eventualities.
There will be no football colours allowed. Fancy dress is positively encouraged.

What will the weather be like during the festival?
